According to educators, pre-schoolers who learn these skills have the foundation for success in school and learn to develop what is called academic tenacity.  At The Edge Martial Arts we believe that even very young children can master progressively more difficult challenges and through that process learn tenacity.  While learning martial arts, self defense, and acrobatic techniques, children develop balance and motor skills, learn to listen and follow directions, and improve their memory and focus.  Through games and challenges they are encouraged to think creatively, finding their own way to overcome obstacles.  To learn more about academic tenacity and preschoolers, we have provided an article for you:
