Why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?

Because Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with its emphasis on self-defense, conditioning and self-discipline results in a fit body and sharp mind.

Modern Self-Defense

While Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has its roots in judo and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu it is now a separate art emphasizing self-defense, the sport aspect of the art, and fitness. Like Tang Soo Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches resilience, tenacity, courage and integrity.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on ground fighting, teaching students how to take stronger, heavier opponents down and then defend themselves by using proper technique and leverage.

Professor Uloth creates a safe training environment in which students learn basic techniques and then progressively more complex moves, all while moving at their own pace.
